The Beaverton School District recently completed a large scale technology implementation providing devices to all students. Additionally, the district rolled out a Learning Management System providing a digital classroom environment. Although these actions were significant, we learned many of our students were unable to access digital resources from home. This inequity of access limits the ability for some of our students in poverty to have the same access and experience as their peers.
The purpose of this session is to provide an overview of formative assessment utilizing research from Margaret Heritage and digitals tools that support formative assessment in the classroom. Participants will explore a variety of digital tools that are free, easy to use and can be seamlessly integrated into formative assessment practices.
